About Dr. Gabriel Katz

After completing his undergraduate work in Biological Sciences and graduating with honors from University of California, Irvine, Dr. Gabriel Katz turned his interests towards medicine, particularly psychiatry. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship in internal medicine and then went to finish his residency in psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, subsequently pursuing a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Katz maintains clinical expertise in adult psychiatry, palliative and psychosomatic medicine, as well as academic experience in these fields.

This breadth of education has provided Dr. Gabriel Katz the distinction of being a licensed physician, board-certified psychiatrist. In his private practice, Dr. Katz is an expert in psychopharmacology, medical psychiatry and uses the latest evidence-based treatments. He sees patients with unique sets of difficulties that require a personal approach. His comprehensive treatment includes a careful initial evaluation to pinpoint what troubles the patient, and subsequently he formulates a treatment plan compatible with the individual’s lifestyle.
